Tom, Ben and Shaun represented the team at the CDNW smithfields National B race near Carlisle. Despite a fairly negative race, constant attacks by Ben and Tom led to the establishment of a 4 man breakaway with Ben in it. Riding strongly Ben managed to drive the breakaway to the line and eventually finished 3rd following a series of late attacks. Tom took 4th in the bunch sprint to finish 8th and Shaun finished 16th, hopefully showing his recovery from illness and the start of a strong end of season. Thanks also go to Adey Dent for handing up bottles to the riders, crucial in the heat and sun.
SAMSI Circuit Race
Colin motivated from a disappointing performance at Stockton GP forced away an early move with Will and Ryan Davis of Starley Primal, the three worked well together throughout holding a gap of a minute for the entirety of the race. Behind Jack and Craig worked well to whittle down the bunch leaving just seven riders left. In the finale Colin and Will combined excellently to finish 1,2 with Jack and Craig doing the same behind to finish 4th and 5th. A fantastic team performance and the teams 31st win of the season.
Today marks the start of a exceptionally busy week for the team with riders in action on Wednesday at the Sheffield GP, the CDNE Crit series where we are 1st and 2nd overall on Thursday, a criterium at Mallory Park on Saturday and on Sunday the Duncan Murray Wines RR for the National team and the prestigious Thornton Trophy for the regional team.
