The first stage was a time trial not a specialist Will posted a solid 22:17 for the rolling 16km out and back time trial putting him 5th on the general classification. Stage two was multiple laps of a five mile circuit containing a 5min climbs. The leading group was whittled down every lap till a group of fifteen contested the finish with Will taking 3rd and moving up to 2nd on GC.
Stage three was twelve laps of a shorter circuit, a group of 12 came into the finish after breaking away midway through the race with Will sprinting to take the stage and consolidating 2nd on GC.
The final stage of the race was a technical 64km criterium, going on the offensive Will forced the break of the race with 20km today, containing a group of six riders, despite his best efforts Will moved to within 3sec of the GC lead but couldnt quite take the race but won his second stage of the race in the sprint finish.
A fantastic race overall for Will with 2nd overall and two stage wins. Will travels back to the UK today and after a few days recovery turns his attention to the Tour of Northumberland were he is part of a strong six man team looking to equal the overall victory from last year.
